Effective date: 10 October 2026. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of News Lineup at newslineups.com, published by 24World Media, 1411 N Sterling Ave, Palatine, IL 60067, United States (“we”, “us”). By accessing the site you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these Terms as set out in Section 15.
1. The service
News Lineup is a digital news service providing a daily lineup of original reporting, headlines, video embeds, archives and related features. Content is provided for general information and personal, non-commercial use unless a written licence states otherwise. News develops: stories may be updated, corrected or withdrawn under our Corrections policy, which forms part of our editorial standards but does not create a contractual promise that any particular story will remain available in a particular form.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use interactive features. Public reading does not require registration, and reader registration, where disabled, cannot be circumvented. Any account, newsletter subscription or submission feature we offer must be used with accurate information. You are responsible for activity under credentials you control and must notify us promptly of unauthorised use. We may suspend features that threaten security, accuracy or lawful operation.
3. Intellectual property and permitted use
Unless otherwise credited, site content including text, headlines, original images, graphics, layout and code is owned by 24World Media or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, share links to, and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link for purposes permitted by law, such as criticism, comment and news reporting. You may not systematically scrape, bulk-download, republish, sell, frame or create derivative news products from the site, or remove credits, correction notices or canonical links, except under a written syndication licence or as clearly permitted by law. Third-party material remains the property of its owner; embedded video is provided by its channel under that platform’s terms.
4. User submissions, tips and material you send
If you send a tip, correction, letter, photograph, video or other material, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it is true to the best of your knowledge. For material you ask us to consider for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to review, edit for length and clarity, publish and archive it with credit as agreed, and to share it with licensing partners where you have consented or where the submission terms stated that possibility. You retain ownership; this licence allows editorial use. Confidential tips are handled under our newsroom standards and Privacy Policy; do not mark material confidential after sending it through a public channel and expect retrospective confidentiality without editor agreement. We are not obliged to publish any submission.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: violate law or another’s rights; submit knowingly false tips, forged documents or impersonating material; harass, threaten or dox any person; upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or connected systems; interfere with advertising, measurement or security features; use automated means to collect content or personal information except search-engine crawling that respects robots directives and rate limits; or use the site to send spam or misleading commercial messages. We may remove content, block access and preserve records where reasonably needed to protect the service or comply with law.
6. News accuracy, updates and third-party content
We work to verify reporting as described in our Code of Ethics and correct errors under our Corrections policy, but we do not warrant that every item will be complete, current or error-free at every moment, particularly in developing news. Official statements, market data, scores and schedules originate with third parties and may change. Links and embeds lead to material we do not control; inclusion is not endorsement of every statement on a linked page. You should verify consequential decisions (medical, financial, legal, safety) against primary and professional sources.
7. Advertising and sponsored material
Advertising, where shown, is labelled and sold under written terms. Sponsors receive no editorial veto. Sponsored or paid content, if offered, will be identified as paid with the sponsor named and kept distinct from news. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser; we are not responsible for their products, claims or landing pages, except as required by law.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes personal-information handling and is incorporated by reference. By using interactive features you acknowledge that policy. Newsletter and contact processing require only the information described there; please do not send highly sensitive personal data through general forms.
9. Availability and changes to the site
We may change, suspend or discontinue sections, features or the entire site, and impose limits on use, with reasonable notice where practicable for material reductions affecting paid licensees under their agreements. The site is provided on an “as available” basis; maintenance, provider failures, attacks or events beyond our control may interrupt access.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. Health and Science reporting is information only and is not medical advice. Business reporting is not financial advice. Nothing on the site creates a professional relationship. Our Website Disclaimer provides further detail and is part of these Terms by reference for editorial content.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 24World Media and its editors, staff and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or lost profits, arising from use of or inability to use the site, reliance on developing or corrected news, or third-party content, even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the preceding twelve months, or US $100 if you paid nothing, whichever is greater, subject to non-waivable rights.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 24World Media against claims, damages and reasonable legal fees arising from material you submit, your misuse of the site or your violation of these Terms or another’s rights, except to the extent caused by our own wilful misconduct. We will notify you of a claim subject to this section and cooperate reasonably; you may not settle a claim imposing obligations on us without our written consent.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Illinois will have exclusive jurisdiction and venue for disputes not subject to a separate written agreement, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there, except that either party may seek interim relief in any competent court and consumers retain non-waivable rights in their place of residence where law requires. You agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting us first and describing the dispute with specificity.
14. Termination
You may stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, legal requirement or risk to the service. Provisions that by nature should survive — intellectual property, licences you granted for published material, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity and governing law — survive termination.
15. Changes, notices and general provisions
We may amend these Terms by posting the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes affecting paid licences will be handled under the licence terms. Notices to us must be sent through the Contact page or to [email protected], or by post to the address above. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect and the provision will be reformed to the minimum extent needed. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Website Disclaimer and any written licence for a specific service are the entire agreement for that subject and supersede prior oral statements. Waiver of one breach is not waiver of another. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the outlet with notice on this page.
16. Syndication licences in brief
A written syndication licence, where granted, will identify the licensed stories or feeds, permitted media and territory, attribution and canonical-link requirements, update and correction duties, fee and term. The licensee must publish corrections we issue for licensed material within a reasonable time and must not edit licensed reporting in a way that changes its meaning, removes material attribution or implies endorsement of the licensee’s other products. Licence rights do not transfer to the licensee’s own partners or affiliates unless the licence expressly says so. Breach of attribution, correction or meaning provisions may result in suspension of the feed after notice and a fair opportunity to cure, without limiting other remedies. In the event of any conflict between a signed licence and these Terms for the licensed material, the signed licence controls.
17. Notices of claimed infringement
If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright or other rights, send a notice through the Contact page identifying the work claimed to be infringed, the exact page address of the material, your contact details and your good-faith basis for the claim, including proof of ownership or authority to act where available. We review complete notices promptly, may remove or disable access to the material pending review where appropriate, and provide a counter-notice process where the law provides one. Knowingly false infringement notices may lead us to decline future notices from the same sender where the law permits and may expose the sender to liability; please ensure the claim is accurate before sending.
Headings are for convenience and do not limit the text beneath them. References to “including” mean “including without limitation”. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your submissions to us beyond the editorial licence expressly granted, and nothing waives a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived by agreement in your jurisdiction.
